The Creative Wild Child is a welcoming place to explore, make, play and reconnect with

the joy of creativity. Through relaxed and inspiring workshops and creative experiences, we explore the beautiful worlds of watercolour, paper, textiles, slow stitching, collage, handmade journals, mixed media, vintage treasures and nature-inspired creativity.

There is also a deep love here for tradition and the creative hands that came before us.

We draw inspiration from time-honoured ways of making — stitching, mending, painting, journaling, keeping memories, repurposing treasured materials and creating something beautiful from the everyday. From time to time, our workshops also pay homage to pioneering and creative women whose resourcefulness, artistry and stories continue to inspire us.

We believe these traditions are worth remembering, sharing and reimagining for a new generation.

There is something rather wonderful about making with our hands.

The flow of watercolour across paper. The texture of cloth and thread. Layers of old book pages and beautiful papers. Vintage lace, buttons, photographs, handwritten words and forgotten little treasures waiting to tell a new story.

At The Creative Wild Child, creativity is about much more than the finished piece. It's about slowing down, learning, experimenting, connecting and giving ourselves permission to play. It's also about remembering. Remembering skills once passed from hand to hand. Finding new possibilities in old materials. Preserving stories. Honouring creativity that has existed around kitchen tables, sewing baskets, sketchbooks and family homes for generations.

Our workshops bring those ideas into the present — sometimes preserving traditional techniques and sometimes giving them a wonderfully Wild Child twist.

Creativity With Heart

Creative Wild Child workshops are facilitated by Sandi Foley De Vincenzo — artist, educator and qualified Creative Arts Therapist, with a lifelong love of creativity, teaching and sharing the joy of making with others.

While our workshops are creative experiences rather than therapy sessions, Sandi's background in creative arts therapy brings an understanding of the important role creativity can play in wellbeing, self-expression, confidence and connection.

Above all, Creative Wild Child is a place where you can feel comfortable experimenting, learning something new and finding your own way of creating.
